As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you design state-of-the-art interfaces that look great and deliver an excellent user experience—within the broader context of customer experience.

You can independently lead projects (partly at Essense, partly at the client), deliver high-quality design work yourself, and guide other designers to ensure progress and quality. You communicate clearly with both clients and multidisciplinary teams, and translate research and insights into strategy, vision and design principles.

What will you do?

Analyse client challenges and define an approach to improve UX in close collaboration with the client
Lead projects end-to-end and ensure high-quality delivery
Create interaction design, prototypes, experience flows and interface designs
Manage/guide other UX/UI/Visual designers and safeguard quality
Translate research and insights into design principles and a coherent vision
Collaborate with development teams to ensure correct implementation
Advise on UX/UI approaches for both large and small organisations
Support clients in setting up and applying design systems and design principles
Keep developing your craft and share knowledge inside and outside Essense

What do you bring?

A completed design education (university / higher education)
At least 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably at an agency
Experience in leading UX projects and managing other designers
Able to use a wide range of software / tools (Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, etc.)
An impressive portfolio with proven expertise in UX
A passion for creating beautiful services
Fluent English and Dutch language skills
